Seagull Guitars

I bought a new guitar the other day.  Couldn’t quite afford it yet, with all the wedding expenses the second half of the year has brought, but I was growing restless.   I sold my previous acoustic/electric to help cash flow with one of my daughter’s wedding in August, and then have been paying for my own.  Anyway, I couldn’t stand it any longer.

I had narrowed down my selection to a Seagull model in the most recent Music123 catalog.  But then, on-line, I started to see them disappear.  That is was pushed me over the edge…I had this fear that in a couple of weeks I’d be waiting for backorder.  So, off to Guitar Center I went.

I got a great deal from the guy who bought my Breedlove back from me.  They didn’t have the Seagull model I was looking for (S-series S6 + CW Cedar GII)  but instead I found a Performer series mini-jumbo.  It has a lot of mahogany, a mini-jumbo design and a really great feel and sweet sound.  The guy at the store said it has a spruce top.  So does the technical specs page, but the main product page says cedar.  So, although I am confused, I don’t really care because I love the guitar.

If you’re looking for a great guitar at a super-reasonable price, look no further than the Seagull line.  I am thrilled with playability and tone.  Here’s a link to their site:

All for now….

Peace!

I’d love a new acoustic but I spent £900 on a new bass guitar last year so in order to remain married to my dear long suffering wife I shall have to wait. ;-)
